Personal reflection of Module Learning and The Presentation Showcase I really liked this module in terms of what it had to offer and how it was taught. Although certain topics were a little dry, it was certainly beneficial for professional working life. For instance, “How to pitch” and “How much to disclose in terms of personal life and work” were two key learning lessons I remember. I also remember the concept of the Johari Window and how first impressions are merely just first impressions. In addition, I learnt that building rapport with other members in the workforce is important to a certain extent as well. The Presentation Showcase was an excellent way to see all the talented speakers and presenters in the cohort. It was a learning experience as well through the comments and judgements made by the panel of judges. I really liked the diversity of the various presentations that presented. There was a mixture of comedy and wittiness whereas some were more content focused and serious. Yet, all were powerful at bringing across the their messages. A key example would be “Goldheart: presented by Sandy, Caroline, Amanda and Charis. I really liked their presentation because it was comical yet impactful. The use of video split into two scenarios, a before and after. It aided in showing how service excellence was improved. Lastly, each presenter was also strong in projecting their parts which in turn, topped off the entire presentation.
